Gel-X is a full-cover soft gel tip bonded to the natural nail and cured under lamp. It gives you the length and shape of an extension with a lighter, more flexible feel than acrylic, and it goes on without the heavy filing that acrylic prep needs.
Because the tip is pre-shaped, application is quicker and the finish is consistent, which is why it has become the most requested extension we do. It is also the gentler option if your natural nails have taken a beating and you want length while they recover underneath.

Questions we get asked
Is Gel-X better than acrylic?
Neither is better outright — they are different trade-offs. Gel-X is lighter, more flexible and needs less filing. Acrylic is harder and stands up better to heavy hands. If you are unsure, tell your tech what you do all day and they will steer you.
How long does Gel-X last?
Two to three weeks before regrowth starts to show, similar to acrylic. Book a Gel X Fill rather than a new full set when that happens.
Does it damage your natural nails?
Not when it is removed properly. Gel-X is soaked off, not pried off, and the natural nail is barely filed during prep — that is the main reason people move to it.
